American
Dog "Scars-n-Bars"

Mit
"Scars-n-Bars" ist es American
Dog erstmalig gelungen, die wilde Energie ihrer Live-Shows
in einem Studioalbum rüberzubringen...
...
man braucht dazu nur eine sehr laute HiFi-Anlage und genug zu Trinken...
Michael Hannon (voc, bg) und seine wüsten Mitstreiter Steve
Theado (git) und Keith Pickens (dr) ziehen wieder sämtliche
Rock´n´Roll-Register. Den Zuhörer erwarten proletarische Breitseiten
("Workin´ Man"), krachende Uptempo-Rock´n´Roller ("Conviction"),
böser Heavy-Blues ("Lucky 13") und Southern-Slideguitar-Massaker
("Got you by a chain"). American Dog rocken mehr denn je
und wissen, was sie ihren Fans schulden. Schließlich teilt man die
Lieblingsthemen: Rocken & Saufen & Ficken. Trendy? Egal! Politisch
korrekt?
In Frankreich füllen

Sir
Edward interviewt Micheal
Hannon (Hamburg Harley Days 2004)
SE: You call your music "Redneck
Metal". What does it mean?
MH: Just a bit of slang to describe
our sound which is a combination of Southern Rock and Hard Rock,
and since we're from the midwestern part of the States, we have
a very "Blue Collar" attitude, We don't need Fancy Clothes or a
Flashy stage show, Image doesn't mean jack-shit to us, just grab
a beer and kick some ass!
SE:
Your endorsing Jägermeister and you´re getting drunk on stage, while
in America people can´t even drink on the street. Are you rebels?
MH: Lets clarify, we Do Drink
a few on stage , but we Don't get Drunk on Stage, (We'll do that
later) We'd be ripping off the audience if we go on stage plastered
, We give a damn about our audience and our music, and we won't
comprimise either. ...As far as being Rebels? Hell Yeah, just because
somebody sez something, that don't make it right, I'll form my own
opinions thank you.
SE: Did you ever get into
trouble with women´s lib or other people accusing you for being
"un-p.c."?
MH: The only way to deal with
loud-mouths who have nothing to do with their time except to butt
into other peoples lives is by paying no attention to them. Ignore
them and they fade away! In the words of Al Bundy "Your opinion
means Nothing to Me!"
SE: So the lady with the
dog lead round her neck was business-as-usual?
MH:
Fuck, I almost forgot. That was for the European booklet of
Red, White, Black & Blue only. No way to get away with shit like
that in the States
SE: In America you rock large
audiences, what´s it like for you to come to Europe and basically
start all over?
MH: I love it, Fighting uphill
is all We've known, and when ya get to the top of the hill ya dig
in! Plus you guys have the best damn Beer.
SE: You headline the "Hamburg
Harley Days" tonight just before Molly Hatchet. Are you a "Biker
Band"?
MH: We've played hundreds of
Biker shows, Sturgis, Easyriders events. You name it, we've played
it, So yeah I guess you could say a lot of our audience is from
the Bike Community, but we don't play bike shows exclusivley, We'll
play anywhere, with (almost) anyone, Hell a couple of years ago
we did shows with David Allan Coe and three days later we
were with Overkill, and both crowds liked us.
SE: How´s touring with Rose
Tattoo been so far?
MH: Fuckin' Great bunch of guys,
and a damn good band, although I think I drove Angry nuts askin'
him to play the title track to their album "Pain", I kept sayin
c'mon it's the fuckin' title track, over and over......I'd been
hittin the bottle with their bass player Steve pretty heavy that
night! HA!
SE: Who´d you vote directly
for president (and why) if you had to choose from G.W.Bush, Sir
Edward or Larry Flint?
MH: Fuck 'em All! I wouldn't
trust any God Damn Politician, they're just fucking modern day vampires,
Lawyers that have graduated to a lower level of deception. I've
been all over the world, there's good people and bad people everywhere
ya go, but they all have one thing in common, none of 'em trust
their politicians

SE: You´re saying Sir Edward
and Larry Flint are politicians???
MH: Ha. Now I gotcha. Why not
- everything´s possible, Ronald Reagan has been No.1, even Arnold
Schwarzenegger might be one day. Each of 'em would be fatal. ln
Sir Edward´s presidency the people would probably finish it all
off with free drugs. Larry Flint means free sex and dirty jokes.
I´d vote for Larry Flint. Well, with Edward as Vice, I guess.
